Hang time kite shop Fleetwood

Just an update on this shop....now that Alex has taken over, it's one of the best shops in the UK. Well worth a trip. Just remember that during the winter he's shut Mon & Tues.

Skidlidz UK Sports Head Protection

Looks like some good deals on lids, esp the Protec Wake I've got my eye on....

Kite Market

A cool looking website and online shop created by Paul Hankin and Mark Parker of Kosmic Kites in Surbiton.

Action Pact

Harrogate based kite shop with online ordering. Clean website layout. Free P&P for mail order & a 'Price Beater' promise.

05 September 2005

Notts based shop, school, event organiser and future downhill sports park...I've not been a customer of theirs yet, but I've heard a few favourable comments about this place.

Airbossworld have some seriously good offers on at the moment too.

Leisure Lakes

Leisure Lakes

In Bury town centre, just above Iceland. This mostly bike shop does have a significant 'kite corner'. Ask for Chris as he's the only member of staff who's well up on kites. Chris is a buggy racer so has loads of practical experience to back him up.

Upahill Kites

Upahill Kites Another 'Local' shop...Andy who runs this shop in Uppermill on the outskirts of Oldham is a friendly bloke...usually willing to discuss a good price...actual kiter too unlike some shops...

Trick of the Eye Kites

Trick of the Eye Kites
An 'offshore' on-line only shop based in Guernsey. Has very low prices, but a caveat to the effect 'All prices are Exclusive of UK VAT and have been deducted from the order accordingly but may be payable in your home Country.' .... 17.5% is a bit of a gamble.

Guerrilla Store- Extreme Sports, Clothing, Paintball, Water Sport Equipments, Kites, Gadgets n Gifts

Northampton based extreme sports shop that has a reasonably well stocked kite section. Nice site design too.

Power Kite Shop

Probably one of the most well known internet shops in the UK, with a Midlands based bricks and mortar shop too. These are the big boys of kiteshops, decent service and reputation too. And a useful reference for prices when going to your local shop too, but bear in mind they do have the advantage of volume over your local shop, so make some allowances - you want your local shop to survive too don't you?

Magic Odyssey

Magic Odyssey, based in Cleethorpes. Part kite shop part magic shop. Hmmm...wonder if they do magic kites...?

Teesside Power Kites

Based in Redcar on the NE Coast, this is one of the friendliest shops I've been in. Run by the owner Simon, its tucked away inside the R-Kade skate park on the shorefront at Redcar. If you visit, you will find free parking, a snack bar in the skate park and a friendly welcome. Watch out for the comfy sofas though - you may stay longer than expected. Demos are not usually a problem either, especially if the tide's out and the wind is up.

Definitely recommended *****

Turbulence Kites

Based in Llandudno, Adam and Lukas Jones' shop has to be one of the best in the country. Not the biggest, but the friendly welcome and over 15 years of kiting experience are yours when you step in the door. You wont be able to just pop in - leave at least 1/2 an hour for your visit.

Definitely recommended *****

Extreme Kites

EK is run by two mates Phil and Andy who have many years kiting experience between them. The website does not cover everything they sell, so best give them a bell if you want anything. You will usually get a demo if you ask for it...any excuse to fly a kite LOL.

This shop is definitely recommended. *****

The Kite Shop

A Southampton based kite shop. Nice clear web page layout. Reasonable prices.

Hengist Kites

Bournemouth based kite shop. Shop looks nice from the pics and the site is layed out well.

Who is Hengist? ... he, more properly spelt Hengest, was the King of Kent c. 450 AD...to find out more read Wikipedia article on Hengest

Scruffs at Kiteshops.com

Online side of large kiteshop and kiting centre located on the site of a former coalmine near Bridgend. Cool customer service and the centre is promoted as a tourist attraction. Well done Ian and Irene.

One of the earliest kite online shops as far as I know. NW based, seems to have been let go a little of late with fewer updates. Do now have the Ozone Riot listed so probably things are picking up again?

Sunshine Bits

As a kite shop, a bit poor. If you want hammocks, trampolines etc. then it may be OK.

Kite's - Kite

A power kite shop and kiteboarding school based in Norfolk/Suffolk. Nice clean website - Free Delivery.

Flying High

Online shop selling 'Secta' buggies and a selection of wheels. No 'about us' page so where they are based who knows (UK though)
